Palo Alto Networks’ secure access service edge (SASE) service has been made available on the ServiceNow marketplace.

The Prisma SASE App was promised to provide increased and unified visibility across the network operations center (NOC) with the integration.

Specifically, ServiceNow administrators will be able to automate the setup of mobile users, remote networks, zero-trust network access (ZTNA) connectors, and service connections, with historical and default templates to set up configuration. Each workflow also includes built‑in administrative approval to ensure zero trust compliance.

The app is also promised to streamline incident management by allowing network teams to create customizable Notification Profiles, communicated through a choice of either email notifications, webhooks, or direct incident creation within ServiceNow.

Users can further apply custom logic to adjust severity, priority, and configuration item (CI) fields to align incident handling with their organization’s operational requirements.

Incidents are also automatically ingested into ServiceNow’s standard incident table, providing end‑to‑end lifecycle visibility.

Additionally, log forwarding profiles can be integrated with security information and event management (SIEM) platforms, streamlining log management and collection of security event data across ever managed tenant type. Palo Alto claimed ServiceNow users can effectively deploy and maintain consistent log‑forwarding policies across large, multitenant environments.

For larger enterprises that require secure isolation between different tenant environments, admins can enable domain separation to automatically map Prisma SASE Tenant Service Group (TSG) IDs to specific domains within its application, ensuring distinct data partitioning and clearer operational boundaries.

With the integration between Palo Alto's SASE and ServiceNow's IT service management (ITSM) offering, the former makes a play in a field currently defined by managed service providers (MSPs).

Tata Communications, for example, provides a managed SASE solution with Versa Networks,as integrated with Tata's own ITSM framework, while U.S. MSP AireSpring offers a managed SASE solution from Cato Networks via its ITSM platform.
