IBM has updated its Cloud Security and Compliance Center platform with advanced security protections and intelligent automation for compliance.

These two vendors argue their public cloud and telecom software-as-a-service offerings can address telcos’ data resilience and security concerns.

IBM acquired Polar Security to gain access to its DPSM technology, which is needed to secure sensitive and unknown shadow data in the cloud.

The company added more industry-specific data, and partners, along with the marketplace for telecom service providers.

The platform blends encryption, anonymization, cryptography, data masking, and vaultless tokenization to protect data.

"VMware is leading the industry when it comes to sovereign cloud," said Rajeev Bhardwaj, VP of cloud provider solutions.

NetApp also targets cyber resilience by unifying control of data security based on an integrated zero-trust model.
