Fortinet has partnered with Ontario-headquartered network provider Terago to provide secure networking services for Canadian businesses.

The deal will see Fortinet’s SD-WAN and secure access service edge (SASE) solutions bolster Terago’s managed services and network performance, as well as meet data protection and business operation requirements.

"Our partnership with Fortinet marks a major step forward in our mission to provide secure, scalable, and intelligent technology solutions," said Daniel Vucinic, CEO and president at Terago. "Together, we're empowering businesses to innovate without compromise, backed by Fortinet's world-class cybersecurity expertise."

"This collaboration is the latest example of Fortinet's commitment to providing a comprehensive platform that empowers Canadian organisations to embrace the convergence of networking and security,” said Thomas Preston, regional sales director at Fortinet Canada.

The deal adds to other Fortinet partnerships in the Canadian telecom space, which include the likes of Bell, Northwestel, and Rogers Communications.

On the global front, Fortinet also supports Telefónica Tech, British Telecom (BT), Fusion Connect, Windstream, GTT Communications, and more.

The company this week received a clean bill of health from security testing firm CyberRatings.org after an earlier report found faults with its flagship firewall solution.

CyberRatings recommended both Fortinet and Palo Alto Networks after new tests confirmed they had patched the evasions in question.

August saw the company crowned a “leader” in Gartner's latest Magic Quadrant for hybrid mesh firewalls (HMF), alongside Palo Alto and Check Point, with the same accolade from the research giant in a separate ranking of SASE providers.
