Zero trust vendor Zscaler announced a global expansion of its data sovereignty platform.

On top of its global and in-region services across markets, the U.K., the European Union, Switzerland, India, Singapore, Australia, and Japan, Zscaler will extend its dedicated European control plane, as well as bring in-country data and logging services to new regions, including Canada.

Also announced were new features in Zscaler's Zero Trust Exchange cloud security platform, including in-region SSL inspection and malware analysis to help decrypt and inspect encrypted traffic locally, flexibility for users to leverage private service edges such as single-tenant, customer-hosted, and Zscaler-managed appliances, plus region-specific support in interpreting national regulations and configuring services where needed.
