Versa is expanding its push into unified secure access service edge (SASE) with new cloud security posture management (CSPM) aimed at helping enterprises identify and remediate cloud misconfiguration risks across multicloud environments.

The new Versa CSPM capability extends the vendor’s VersaONE Universal SASE Platform with continuous monitoring and risk assessment for cloud infrastructure spanning Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

It's designed to give security teams a unified operational view of both access risk and cloud posture risk. Traditionally, those functions have been managed in separate consoles and by separate tools.

“Cloud risk and access risk are two sides of the same exposure, and security teams cannot afford to manage them in separate tools,” Anusha Vaidyanathan, senior director of product management at Versa, noted in a statement.

The CSPM platform continuously evaluates cloud configurations against common security and compliance frameworks. Versa said the system prioritizes risks based on severity and exposure rather than raw alert volume, an approach intended to reduce alert fatigue and help security teams focus remediation efforts on the most critical issues.

The announcement builds on Versa’s broader effort to position VersaONE as a converged platform that combines networking, AI-driven operations, and security services under a single architecture.

The company recently introduced additional AI-focused security and networking capabilities for VersaONE, including contextual data loss prevention, AI-powered analytics, and agentic AI troubleshooting tools.

Versa earlier this year also announced new inbound secure service edge (SSE) capabilities, a secure enterprise browser, and a partnership with Intel focused on enabling AI inference workloads at the network edge, moves that expand the scope of its SASE platform beyond traditional WAN connectivity

Versa said that integrating CSPM directly into the same platform as secure access controls can help reduce operational complexity and close visibility gaps created by point products – while users can drill down from high-level dashboards into specific cloud resources and remediation workflows without switching tools.

The launch also comes as the SASE market continues to consolidate around vendors offering integrated platforms rather than standalone networking or security products. Versa has competed in the converged networking and security space against vendors such as Cato Networks, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, Netskope, Cisco, and Zscaler.
