ed Hat, a provider of open source solutions, has launched the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform Service as a managed offering on AWS Marketplace. This service offers IT teams the ability to automate complex cloud operations from day one, helping them focus more on crucial initiatives. The platform is aimed at simplifying management in hybrid cloud and artificial intelligence environments where scale and standardization are increasingly important.
The Ansible Automation Platform Service on AWS is accessible for customers with different levels of automation experience, promoting flexibility in deploying Red Hat’s open technologies both on-premises and on AWS. The offering integrates with AWS billing for transparent cost management and contributes to committed spend agreements with AWS.
Red Hat provides two deployment options for the Ansible Automation Platform on AWS to suit the diverse needs of its clients:
- The self-managed offering allows for customization and is suitable for regulated industries needing enhanced security.
- The managed offering includes premium support from Red Hat, aiding organizations in prioritizing innovation through automation without the burden of platform management.
The launch aims to enhance the organization's offerings on major cloud platforms, enabling clients to concentrate on critical automation tasks instead of managing the underlying infrastructure.
Supporting statements from various industry leaders highlight the importance of automation in achieving enterprise goals. “Businesses can only achieve their goals if automation is viewed as essential to the enterprise IT strategy. Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform as a managed offering in AWS Marketplace helps us to further equip our customers with the right technology at the right time,” said Sathish Balakrishnan, vice president and general manager of Ansible at Red Hat.
“Driving value by providing managed services is not just about focusing on cloud capabilities. It is also about supporting the shift in provisioning services for enterprises from a 'parts-centric approach' to a 'system-centric approach,'” added David Tapper, program vice president at IDC.
Enterprises interested in the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform Service can explore deployment options through the AWS Marketplace.
