Rackspace Technology unveiled RAISE (Rackspace AI Security Engine), an AI-powered offering designed to enhance threat detection and response in its Cyber Defense Center operations.

The AI engine, added to its Rackspace Cyber Defense Center (RCDC) offering, processes security signals, identifying attack patterns that traditional systems might miss, and provides real-time remediation recommendations to security analysts.

Rackspace touts RAISE as adding contextual information to security incidents, including potential attack paths and suggested response priorities, allowing faster decision-making during cybersecurity incidents.

The vendor claims the system uses a continuous learning model, adapting its detection capabilities based on previous incidents and evolving threat patterns across public, private, and hybrid-cloud environments.

The San Antonio-based cloud services provider operates its Cyber Defense Center as a 24/7 security operations center, monitoring client infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms.

The vendor claims the AI enhancements will help address cybersecurity skills shortages by augmenting human analysts with machine-driven analysis capabilities.

“Our delivery model blends human expertise with advanced AI and automation, enabling faster, more consistent, and more confident decisions,” D K Sinha, president of public cloud at Rackspace, explained. “These enhancements provide a seamless, end-to-end experience, from threat detection to resolution, which is not only efficient but also easy for stakeholders across the business to understand and act on.”

No pricing details or specific deployment timelines for RAISE’s implementation were disclosed.
