Pure Storage appointed former RingCentral CEO Tarek Robbiati as its new CFO.

Robbiati joins Pure Storage, having served as CEO of the cloud-based communication platform for just four months, departing in late 2023 to co-found a firm offering corporate retreats in New Zealand.

An experienced CFO, Robbiati also previously spent five years in the role at Sprint and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), respectively.

Pure Storage will tap Robbiati’s nearly three decades of financial and leadership experience to oversee its global finance organization, including finances, investor relations, and procurement.

“Robbiati’s experience across compute, networking, and storage make[s] him an ideal choice to help lead Pure Storage’s evolution as we help customers manage their ever-expanding data environment," Pure Storage CEO Charles Giancarlo noted in a statement. “Robbiati has a proven history of driving enterprise transformation, seamlessly blending inside-out operational insight with outside-in market perspective.”

“Enterprise transformation is about growth, and the numbers show that we have a strong trajectory for scaling up the business ahead; I look forward to being part of the team building out new capabilities for our customers," Robbiati said of the new role.

Robbiati replaces Kevan Krysler, who last month announced his decision to leave Pure Storage, having joined the company back in 2019.

“I would like to thank Kevan for his dedicated and loyal service to Pure. I am grateful for Krysler’s thoughtful counsel and commitment to Pure’s mission and success, and wish him the very best in his next chapter,” Giancarlo added.

Pure Storage’s CFO appointment comes days after its Accelerate event in Las Vegas, where it unveiled a slew of storage products, including a new Enterprise Data Cloud platform designed to make it easier for firms to manage their data across their entire stack.
