Huawei unveiled an agentic AI security tool aimed at providing automated and intuitive insights from across network planes.
The Agentic Security Operations Center (SOC) is designed as part of its Xinghe Intelligent Network platform and automatically aggregates data from across network switches, firewalls, and routers. The aggregated data is then compiled by the agentic tool into a unified knowledge graph, allowing it to sift through logs from across multiple network layers.
With the myriad devices across networks, operators are routinely bearing the brunt of alert fatigue – with too many notifications meaning engineers are left tracking false positives, leaving triage times to spiral and actual instances not being investigated. Stats from Vectra AI show that organizations receive an average of 2,992 security alerts daily, though 63% go unaddressed.
Huawei’s Agentic SOC offering looks to provide a lift for overstretched network teams, with the firm touting it as a means to provide “100% visibility into enterprise asset risks.”
There’s already a myriad of agentic security tools on the market, with tools from Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, and Arctic Wolf, among others, looking to help address spiraling network threat detection needs.
“As AI-driven network attacks continue to escalate in complexity and frequency, enterprises face mounting security risks,” Richard Wu, president of Huawei’s Security Product Domain and Data Communication Product Lines, noted. “Identifying real threats among massive volumes of alerts and responding quickly has become a major challenge.”
Huwai’s offering is powered by its in-house developed HiSecLLM AI security model, along with “advanced AI detection algorithms” to reduce business interruption risks from unknown threats by as much as 95%, the network giant claims.
Multiple underlying agents work in tandem to perform automated threat assessment and responses to security incidents, a move the company said would help reduce human intervention and shift away major burdens of enterprise security operations.
Huawei said it plans to leverage the product launch to “drive ongoing innovation in network security and intelligent upgrades.”
Among other updates to its Xinghe Intelligent Network platform are what it described as a “pre-Wi-Fi 8” solution that delivers twice the industry average wireless performance and campus-specific security features.
“Enterprise networks are becoming AI-centric, shifting from ubiquitous ultra-broadband to lossless compute, integrated sensing and communications, full-scope security, and network autonomy,” Yang Chaobin, EVP and CEO of Huawei’s ICT Business Group, noted. “Huawei is focused on providing 'AI for all, all on secure IP,' and forging secure and intelligent next-generation networks that unlock new possibilities in the AI era.”
