Monica Gille, the Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) VP responsible for its top 500 accounts in North America, has departed the company.

In a LinkedIn post first spotted by CRN, Gille announced her departure after more than 25 years at the firm. Gille provided no concrete confirmation as to her next role, saying she plans to “step into my next chapter” soon.

“Reflecting on my time here, from France, Switzerland, and Western Europe leadership roles to driving our global and enterprise accounts across North America, I am immensely proud of what we have built together,” Gille wrote. “Side by side with an extraordinary team and world-class partners, we delivered incredible growth, customer value creation, and pushed the boundaries of enterprise hybrid cloud and AI transformation.”

The exec first joined HPE in 2000 from the now-Oracle-owned StorageTek. Gille started out as a European storage architect and competence center manager, going on to work up to various sales management and director roles in Switzerland and later wider Western Europe.

Gille would then move to the San Francisco Bay Area in December 2020, taking on the role of VP for sales strategy in North America. Further promotions saw the exec drive North American sales for industry verticals spanning telecom, financial services, and “digital natives business[es] focused on AI,” among others.

The departing VP was also a leading force in developing HPE’s partner ecosystem, driving strategies for cloud services, data, and AI.

Gille thanked her team for their “relentless energy, brilliance, and dedication to push the boundaries,” adding: “While it is bittersweet to say goodbye to such a special company, I am deeply excited about what lies ahead.”

Gille’s exit comes as HPE ramps up its partner program, with a slew of announcements at its recent Discover 2026 event in Las Vegas, while continuing to work through integrating Juniper Networks’ long-standing programs. One notable update was that pricing quote validity – the window during which a vendor guarantees prices – was upped from 15 to 30 days amid geopolitical turmoil-infused commodity crises.

Joining Gille out the door was Mark Armstrong, HPE’s VP and GM for its high-performance computing (HPC) and AI business in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), who recently joined quantum computing developer Pasqal. A pair of ex-HPE and Juniper Networks sales executives also jumped ship to Extreme Networks back in the spring.
