Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) expanded its Private Cloud AI solution to make it easier for developers, independent software vendors (ISVs), and AI agents to securely access, integrate, and consume enterprise AI services.

The company also expanded its GPU flexibility within the offering, allowing customers to combine Nvidia H200 and RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs within the same cluster to support a broader mix of AI workloads.

HPE explained the solution works by having Nvidia’s KAI Scheduler provide “quota- and priority-based scheduling” to improve GPU utilization and workload placement across projects.

First launched at HPE’s 2024 Discover event, HPE Private Cloud AI integrates Nvidia’s AI computing, networking, and software offerings with HPE’s AI storage, compute, and GreenLake hybrid cloud solution. It provides support for inference, fine-tuning, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) AI workloads that utilize proprietary data, while allowing organizations to exercise the necessary control over data privacy, security, transparency, and governance requirements.

HPE also expanded its infrastructure portfolio to include a liquid-cooled Nvidia Vera CPU rack, which the company said supports 80% faster agentic CPU performance. Featuring 256 Nvidia Vera CPUs and BlueField-4 DPUs alongside support for 22,500 sandboxes, the architecture supports Nvidia’s OpenShell and Sentry hardware-based governance tools for agentic AI.

“AI agents are becoming an essential part of how enterprises operate and create value,” Cheri Williams, SVP and GM for private cloud and flex solutions at HPE, noted. “As organizations deploy AI across industries and increasingly sensitive environments, they need infrastructure that gives them greater control over security, sovereignty, and how enterprise data is accessed and used. We’re helping customers scale AI across hybrid environments while maintaining the governance and operational control required to move from experimentation to production.”
