Celestica has launched the ES1500, its latest enterprise campus switch aimed at addressing the growing complexity of the AI-powered Edge.

With up to 48 2.5GbE ports and optional 90W PoE++ for power-hungry Edge applications, the 1U switch delivers up to 220 Gbps of switching capacity - 2.5 times the port speed of its ES1000 predecessor.

Celestica also offers a fanless, eight-port variant of the ES1500 tailored for IoT deployments.

Gavin Cato, head of portfolio solutions and CTO for connectivity and cloud solutions at Celestica, said: “Getting everyone and everything connected on an enterprise campus is more complex than ever. The ES1500 builds on Celestica’s momentum in enterprise networking, following its 2024 recognition by 650 Group as a dominant vendor alongside Nvidia and Arista.

That same report crowned Nvidia the ‘fastest-growing vendor in data center switching for 2024,’ even as Ethernet gained ground on InfiniBand. The shift was buoyed by the rise of 800G and the anticipated arrival of 1.6T systems.
