Atsign announced its new approach to remote access with “Invisible RDP,” utilizing NoPorts technology to enhance security. With rising cybersecurity threats targeting remote desktop protocol (RDP), this method aims to eliminate vulnerabilities by rendering RDP servers undetectable to potential attacks.
Traditional remote access relies on open inbound ports, providing opportunities for malicious actors to exploit systems. This flaw has led to numerous ransomware incidents and data breaches associated with RDP vulnerabilities.
With the NoPorts technology, Atsign closes inbound ports entirely. It establishes secure, peer-to-peer connections only after successful authentication, rendering protected RDP servers invisible to unauthorized probes. This approach eliminates the entry point commonly exploited in RDP-based attacks.
“The persistent threat landscape demands a fundamental change in how we approach remote access security,” said Barbara Tallent, CEO of Atsign. “NoPorts represents that change. By making critical infrastructure components like RDP servers invisible, we are effectively taking them off the map for cybercriminals.”
Atsign’s NoPorts technology extends beyond RDP, supporting secure connectivity for various applications, addressing both data privacy and security needs amid increasing digital interconnectivity.
