Former Open-O Director Marc Cohn Joins EnterpriseWeb

Marc Cohn has joined EnterpriseWeb as vice president of product management.

Most recently, Cohn was the vice president of network strategy at the Linux Foundation where he served as executive director of the Open Orchestrator (Open-O) project. Cohn guided Open-O through its formation to the first release in under a year. In February the project was merged into the Linux Foundation Open Network Automation Platform (ONAP).

Cohn has held a number of senior leadership roles in the software-defined networking (SDN) and network functions virtualization (NFV) community, including market area director at the Open Networking Foundation (ONF). He also served as advisor to the chair of the ETSI NFV ISG, and he served on the board of directors for the OpenDaylight project.

Prior to joining the Linux Foundation, Cohn held senior leadership roles at ClearPath Networks, an NFV startup, Ciena, where he contributed to Ciena’s multi-layer SDN strategy, and IP Infusion, where he led the company’s SDN tiger team.

Cohn “has been central in the emergence of both SDN and NFV and is widely respected as someone who can build understanding and consensus across disparate teams,” said Dave Duggal, founder and CEO of EnterpriseWeb. “I will be leaning on Marc heavily to help inform and execute our product strategy.”

EnterpriseWeb is a New York-based software company that uses metadata to simplify the onboarding of VNFs. The company recently on-boarded two VNFs from different vendors in a Central Office Re-Architected as a Data Center (CORD) demo.
