Sid Nag is an accomplished Computer Science executive with over 25 years of experience spanning general management, product management, product marketing, product development, strategy, business development and sales, which he developed as a Founder, CEO & entrepreneur and as an industry business & technology leader.

Sid is the Founder CEO and Chief Research Officer at Tekonyx. Tekonyx is focused on researching the fundamentals of AI and Cloud that matter as opposed to the high level narrative that most industry analysts disseminate. Sid was in a PhD program in Computer Science at Columbia University and in addition to being an analyst has been a real world practitioner as opposed to many analysts who lack the practical experience of building products.

Sid was formerly a Vice President Cloud & AI technologies at Gartner Research. Sid was a member of the Gartner Cloud Leadership Council. Sid has held several executive roles at high tech companies such as AT&T, Bell Labs, Lucent, Cisco and Dell in addition to being a founder of a startup in the networking space that he took to an exit.

Sid holds 11 issued patents. He is a recognized industry speaker at forums such as Open Networking User Group (ONUG), Gartner Symposium, Gartner Technology & Growth Initiative (TGI) Conference, Gartner Cloud Strategies (IOCS) conference, AWS Re:Invent, VMworld, Cisco Live, Cisco Networkers, Sid has held the position of Chair of the Services Management group at the IETF. Sid is widely quoted in the press which includes publications such as the Wall Street Journal, The Economist, New York Times, The Times of London, Financial Times, National Public Radio, Forbes, Bloomberg and Business Insider.

Sid has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from IIT Bombay and a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Penn State University. Sid was in a PhD program in Computer Science at Columbia University and then transferred into the PhD program in CS at Rutgers U.
