Joshua Matheus

VP, Chief Portfolio Strategist, Cisco

Joshua Matheus is Vice President and Chief Portfolio Strategist in the Cisco Product Organization. In his current role, he leads a global group of senior technology experts who work directly with Cisco customers to provide strategic insights and deep technical and implementation expertise across the Cisco portfolio.

With 25 years of experience, he is an accomplished engineering and technology leader known for driving digital transformations and executing executive-level strategic initiatives. He is widely recognized as a strategic operator in financial technology, with a proven track record of leading global engineering teams, scaling secure and resilient infrastructures, and spearheading Al-driven innovations. Joshua has also been instrumental in helping Cisco shape product vision as one of the longest-serving members of the Cisco Global Customer Advisory Board.

Before joining Cisco, Joshua was a managing director at Goldman Sachs, where he held numerous leadership positions, including Global Head of Network and Workplace Engineering, Global Head of Network Engineering and DDI, and Global Head of Networks. In these capacities, he spearheaded strategic initiatives across digital transformation, Al, security, and infrastructure.

Specializing in data communication, cloud networking, and cybersecurity, Joshua possesses a proven track record of driving growth and innovation through the strategic application of technology. His extensive Board experience further highlights his business acumen and strategic vision, which he leverages to guide organizations towards success.

Joshua holds a BS in Computer Science from Marist University.
