Few technology sectors are as hot as secure access service edge (SASE). Gartner, the analyst firm that coined the term, predicts in its latest SASE forecast that, over the next five years, the market for SASE will grow at a whopping compound annual growth rate of 29%, reaching over $25 billion by 2027. “The underlying SASE products that buyers will use will be split between single-vendor and dual-vendor approaches,” Gartner predicts
SASE, of course, is a category we're reporting on aggressively at SDxCentral. In addition to covering new products and trends, we're also watching which vendors you're tracking. As an SDxCentral reader, you're probably familiar with our Company Directory. If you aren't, we'd like you to be. We think it's a practical resource for you -- we track more than 1,600 technology companies and include facts such as the number of employees, annual revenue, acquisitions we're tracking, SDxCentral coverage, press releases about the company and more.
By seeing which company directory entries you, our readers, visit most often, we learn what companies you're most interested in to help shape our coverage. For example, these are the 10 most popular SASE articles published in the last 90 days and below that are the most-visited companies in the SASE section of our Directory.

These are SASE companies most visited in the SDxCentral, for the last 90 and 365 days. While the players don't vary greatly over the two time periods, their placement on the list shows us which companies you're researching.

It's interesting to note the top half of the list is dominated by single-vendor SASE companies, which Gartner defines as vendors that offer multiple converged-network and security-as-a-service capabilities, including SD-WAN, secure web gateway (SWG), cloud access security broker (CASB), network firewall and zero-trust network access. In Gartner's most recent Magic Quadrant report on single-vendor SASE, it identified only Palo Alto Networks as a category leader, Cato Networks,Versa Networks and Fortinet are cited as challengers. Cisco and Forcepoint are classified as visionaries, and VMware and Juniper Networks as cited as niche players.
At the time of its evaluation (April 2023) the following vendors didn't meet Gartner's qualifications for inclusion and are listed by the analyst firm as honorable mentions: Check Point Software, Cloudflare, Cradlepoint, HPE (Aruba) and Netskope as honorable mentions. However, all are frequently searched for by SDxCentral readers.
You also showed us you're clearly interested in the fallout from majors mergers and acquisitions as evidenced by the articles you've read -- and continue to read -- about VMware/Broadcom, HPE (Aruba) and Juniper Networks and directory entries you visited.
