In a week packed with secure access service edge (SASE) news, single-vendor SASE provider Netskope launched a new offering aimed at midmarket companies and managed service providers (MSPs).
Midmarket businesses often face challenges similar to their larger counterparts. However, despite having fewer resources that larger organizations, they must secure a hybrid workforce and manage complex network and security issues. Netskope says its new solution addresses these pain points.
“Our midmarket offering delivers all the benefits of SASE – simplified deployment, robust security and optimized performance – without the burden of complexity or mediocre security features,” said Dave Rogers, Netskope's senior vice president of global alliances and channel sales, said in a statement.
New SASE features target MSPsThis addition to Netskope's SASE product offerings, according to the company, include enterprise-grade security and access to Netskope's threat and data protection capabilities, a unified console to deploy and administer both networking and security policies, context-aware Netskope Borderless SD-WAN and global NewEdge network ensure optimal network agility and performance, multi-tenancy support to help MSPs deploy and manage multiple clients.
MSPs report more of their customers are seeking SASE solutions, according to Netskope’s statement. “Our Fortune 5000 clients are turning to SASE for its convergence of cloud-delivered networking and security,” said Siva VRS, Wipro's vice president and global head of cloud and infrastructure security.
“Our midmarket clients have been requesting a unified SASE solution that's easy to deploy and co-manage,” said Darren Carlson, CEO of Halo Global.
SASE’s week of sizzleThe move by Netskope comes in a week packed with SASE news: Versa Networks’ announced a unified SASE gateway designed to securely increase performance, Cato Networks unveiled a SASE-based XDR offering and Zscaler moved into the single-vendor market with SD-WAN product.
The increasingly crowded field is no surprise. Gartner, the research firm that introduced the concept of SASE, forecasts that over the next five years SASE will grow at Compound Annual Growth Rate of 29%, reaching over $25 billion by 2027. Buyers intent will be split between single-vendor and multi-vendor SASE.
In single-vendor SASE Magic Quadrant, Gartner lists Palo Alto Networks as the only leader. Cato Networks, Versa Networks and Fortinet listed as challengers and Netskope as an honorable mention.
