Wireless Logic has continued its spree of acquisitions with the addition of Internet of Things (IoT) player Zipit Wireless.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, though Zipit marks Wireless Logic’s first acquisition of a U.S.-headquartered company.

Zipit is a multi-carrier IoT connectivity and subscription billing solutions provider. Founded in 2007 by Aeronix and Cirrus Logic alumni Frank Greer and Ralph Heredia, the South Carolina-based firm offers a platform that provides flexible white-labeled billing to customers across sectors, including agriculture, security and surveillance, and digital signage.

The firm also has a Canadian subsidiary, Mtrex Networks, which caters primarily to the point-of-sale (POS) market.

“Access to Wireless Logic’s global footprint and broader service portfolio means we can offer more choice, coverage, and capability – while staying true to the hands-on support our customers rely on. It’s a strong cultural fit and we’re excited about what’s ahead,” said Zipit Wireless CEO Greer.

A Wireless Logic statement announcing the deal said the purchase aligns with the company’s strategy to scale internationally while reinforcing regional expertise in key markets.

Oliver Tucker, co-founder and CEO at Wireless Logic, said: “Zipit’s deep understanding of the North American market and its expertise in complex commercial models make it a welcome addition to the group.”

Headquartered in Berkshire in Southeast England, Wireless Logic’s global connectivity platforms simplify and automate IoT management.

Zipit marks the latest in a string of acquisitions for the company.

Earlier this year, Wireless Logic acquired Arqia, a Brazilian Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO), to expand its presence in the Latin American market.

In 2023, the firm snapped up two companies: Webbing, an Israeli MVNO, and Blue Wireless, a Singaporean IoT provider. Those acquisitions add to earlier deals for IoThink Solutions, Mobius Networks, and Jola.
