Two Cisco senior vice presidents, Christine Heckart and Yvette Kanouff, are departing the company.

Heckart, a marketing executive, had been at Cisco for nine months. According to her LinkedIn profile, her function at Cisco was to bring “together the BU, industries, cloud, product, and service marketing teams to create the vision, information, experiences, and tools that inspire and motivate customers to achieve more than they ever thought possible.”

Prior to Cisco, Heckart served as an executive vice president at Brocade where she was involved with that company’s business transformation from hardware to software-driven networking. Her responsibilities at Brocade included the transformation of the marketing department "into a strategic growth engine."

Heckart left Brocade in November 2017, when the company was acquired by Broadcom.

In another high-profile departure, Kanouff, who served as SVP and general manager of Cisco's Service Provider Business, is also leaving the company. Kanouff took over the service provider unit in 2016, after the company restructured and expanded the group to include core routing, switching and optical networking, network and service virtualization, and service provider networks including cable, wireless, and cloud. She also oversaw the company’s video software solutions.

But it’s been a rough two years. Cisco has repeatedly reported disappointing revenues for its service provider group.

Jonathan Davidson, SVP and GM for Cisco’s Service Provider Networking business, will fill Kanouff’s role. Davidson re-joined Cisco in March 2017, after a stint at Juniper Networks. Prior to working for Juniper, he held a variety of leadership positions at Cisco, developing service provider solutions and leading the enterprise routing product management and service provider services team.
