Davidson has worked for Cisco before. Prior to Juniper, he held a variety of leadership positions at Cisco, developing service provider solutions and leading the enterprise routing product management and SP services team.
Davidson left his post at Juniper, having served as that company’s executive vice president and general manager of development and innovation.
Juniper announced last week that it was reorganizing to increase the alignment between strategy and execution. But apparently, the company also conducted some layoffs too, which it did not mention in its reorganization announcement. Business Insider reported the layoffs, which Juniper confirmed, but the company refused to specify the number of people who got pink slips.
