Tech Mahindra has entered into a multi-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to develop an Autonomous Networks Operations Platform (ANOP) aimed at Communication Service Providers (CSPs) and enterprise clients. This platform integrates AI, machine learning, and generative AI services powered by AWS, allowing customers to transition to proactive, real-time network operations on a hybrid cloud.

The collaboration merges Tech Mahindra's expertise in telecom networks with AWS's Amazon SageMaker, facilitating improvements in productivity for Network Operations Centers (NOCs). The ANOP platform is designed to enhance NOC productivity by more than 50%, reduce field visits by over 15%, and decrease the Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) for network incidents by more than 30%. It further accelerates network and service configuration implementation with efficiency improvements exceeding 30%.

Manish Mangal, Chief Technology Officer at Tech Mahindra, emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating that it will empower telecom companies to modernize networks and unlock revenue through advanced AI and ML technologies. The platform supports O-RAN adoption for enhanced proactive network management.

Additionally, Tech Mahindra is validating O-RAN functions on AWS's EKS Anywhere platform, which will assist in cloudifying RAN at the edge, delivering broader industry benefits.

Robin Harwani from AWS remarked that integrating AWS's AI/ML capabilities with Tech Mahindra's ANOP is a significant move in transforming network operations for telco operators, enabling proactive management and optimized performance.

Tech Mahindra is currently implementing the ANOP platform for a leading communications provider in Europe to streamline and enhance network operations through automation and optimization.

This collaboration between Tech Mahindra and AWS represents a significant step in advancing telecom network operations through generative AI technologies, benefitting CSPs and enterprise customers alike.
