Deutsche Telekom (DT) IT service unit T-Systems launched an AI-driven cloud migration service.

Known as T-Systems @Vantage, the suite combines application modernization, migration, and managed services into a unified end-to-end offering. It also includes consultancy services from DT’s Detecon International consulting branch.

The offering was framed by the telecom giant as a response to failed digital transformation efforts by companies that have moved workloads to the cloud without seeing promised efficiency gains, similar to efforts by Orange with its Orange Business Cloud solution and its Capgemini collaboration known as Bleu.

Driving Vantage is an AI engine, which T-Systems said analyzes application architectures and source code to identify legacy infrastructure liable for modernization, including those previously considered unsuitable for cloud migration.

Vantage was also positioned as vendor-agnostic and able to connect to DT’s European cloud platforms, meeting data-sovereignty and regulatory needs. T-Systems recently named former CTO Christine Knackfuss-Nikolicbecome as chief sovereignty officer amid increased industry demand for data residency.

DT recently increased its guidance for the full 2025 financial year, noting its work with Nvidia and Brookfield to build an AI data center in Germany.

Its T-Mobile US subsidiary, meanwhile, recently appointed new CEO Srini Gopalan, while claiming this week to have seen substantial growth of data traversing its 5G-powered fixed-wireless access (FWA) service.
