Software analytics company SevOne announced today that it has collaborated with Google, allowing organizations to combine SevOne’s performance monitoring platform with Google Cloud.

SevOne’s monitoring platform already comes with a set of analytics tools, and now it is able to build and use a broader set of analytics using machine learning on Google Cloud, says Jim Melvin, chief management officer and executive vice president at SevOne. And conversely, any organization on Google Cloud will have access to SevOne’s analytics.

Just like any other monitoring tool, the overall goal is to provide organizations using Google Cloud or SevOne’s platform with a more efficient way to use data to improve processes and operations.

SevOne’s capabilities allow users to gain visibility of their infrastructure through a single pane of glass. This allows customers to identify wasteful traffic and see how applications are using the network. Additionally, SevOne monitors network paths, collecting end-user experience data across enterprise, service provider, and cloud infrastructures.

More and more monitoring companies have been integrating their services with public cloud platforms. This summer, Datadog integrated its monitoring services with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.

Melvin claims that SevOne has the ability to integrate with other cloud platforms, but this is the company’s first integration with any type of cloud platform.

SevOne’s analytics platform is used by big name customers like HBO, Comcast, Xerox, and Amadeus.

Earlier this month, Verizon announced that it is using monitoring software from SevOne for its software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN) and virtual network services.
