ServiceNow has announced a new integration with Oracle designed to enhance its Workflow Data Fabric capabilities. This integration leverages zero copy data sharing and bi-directional data exchange to facilitate real-time connections between Oracle Autonomous Database and the ServiceNow platform, aiming to boost operational efficiency and intelligent decision-making.
Nirankush Panchbhai, senior vice president of Platform at ServiceNow, emphasized the importance of data in driving intelligent decisions. He stated, “Data is the foundation of intelligent decision-making and the key to unlocking the full potential of AI. With Workflow Data Fabric, ServiceNow is empowering customers to connect their business and technology data through a single, scalable platform.”
George Lumpkin, vice president of Autonomous Database Product Management at Oracle, noted that this integration will enable ServiceNow Workflow Data Fabric to effectively utilize both structured and unstructured data, essential for advancing AI capabilities within enterprises. He explained, “Oracle has long been the backbone of the most demanding enterprise applications. The innovations in Oracle Database 23ai allow a single database to support vector processing and similarity searches qualified by private enterprise data.”
The integrated systems will also connect various data formats such as voice, video, and images, allowing businesses to respond swiftly to challenges and opportunities, thus reducing time-to-action. This collaboration will provide ServiceNow customers the ability to access not just traditional data but also unstructured data directly from Oracle sources.
Furthermore, Oracle’s Autonomous Database offers strong security measures while automating numerous security functions to prevent data theft. The integration is expected to be available to select customers by the second half of calendar year 2025.
