May is always a busy month – Cinco de Mayo, the Kentucky Derby, college graduations, Mother’s Day, May Day, Memorial Day … . In short, there’s a lot going on. That holds true in the technology world as well, as vendors and enterprises get busy before summer kicks in. Also among our top 10 stories is contributor Sean Michael Kerner’s look at what to expect in open-source networking this year. Plumb reports on how Dell is helping to brew better beer with 5G and edge technology. Staffer Nancy Lui covers why misusing software is a costly mistake.
