SAP has launched a new European AI cloud offering.

Dubbed SAP EU AI Cloud, the platform is designed to provide sovereignty to customers, can be deployed in SAP data centers, on "trusted European infrastructure," or as a managed on-premise solution.

SAP is working with Cohere on the offering, with Cohere providing agentic AI capabilities through Cohere North. In addition, Mistral AI, OpenAI, and other applications will be directly integrated.

SAP's EU AI Cloud can be consumed as a software-as-a-service (SaaS), platform-as-a-service (PaaS), or infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS).

The IaaS version ensures all data remains in the EU, operating within SAP's European data center network. Meanwhile, the on-site version provides the "highest levels of data, operational, technical, and legal sovereignty."

The platform can also be accessed via Delos Cloud, SAP's Germany-based sovereign cloud offering, which runs on Microsoft Azure.

Delos Cloud offers Microsoft Azure services managed by SAP independently from Microsoft, in data centers in Germany that are physically separate from Microsoft’s network and designed to meet German security requirements.

In September 2025, OpenAI revealed its services would be available via Delos Cloud. SAP has previously said it aims to have 4,000 GPUs for AI workloads available via Delos.

SAP services are available from dozens of data centers globally. The company says it has 32 locations in North America, two in South America, 32 in Europe, 15 in Africa, 20 in Asia, and four in Australasia. The German software giant has its own IaaS offering, and recently said it is planning to invest more than €20 billion ($23.3bn) in expanding its sovereign cloud offering in Europe.
