Oracle and Google Cloud are introducing a new partner program that will allow resellers to offer Oracle Database@Google Cloud to customers. This marks the first time such a program has been implemented in the multicloud market. The initiative will include the limited preview of the Oracle Base Database Service and support for Oracle Exadata X11M, along with the availability of Oracle Interconnect for Google Cloud for U.S. Government clients.

Additionally, 11 new global regions are set to be added within the next 12 months to accommodate customer demand. The new partner program will enable partners that are members of both the Google Cloud Partner Advantage program and the Oracle PartnerNetwork to sell Oracle Database@Google Cloud via a private offer through the Google Cloud Marketplace.

Jorge Fernandez, CIO of Banco Actinver, emphasized the benefits of combining Oracle Database with Google Cloud's Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for enhancing financial services. Karan Batta, senior vice president at Oracle, noted that this program will streamline the onboarding process for customers and expand the options available to them for managing their workloads.

Andi Gutmans, vice president at Google Cloud, added that their collaboration is focused on customer needs, delivering enhanced cloud migration solutions critical for business operations.

The Oracle Database@Google Cloud service updates include support for Oracle Exadata on dedicated infrastructure, enhancements to support AI and analytics workloads, and improved connectivity for U.S. Government Cloud customers. These developments are positioned to better serve a growing client base looking for integrated cloud solutions.

In summary, the announcement of the Oracle Database@Google Cloud partner program represents a strategic expansion by Oracle and Google Cloud to enhance customer offerings and expand market reach.
