Nutanix has become the latest vendor to jump on the agentic craze, unveiling a full software stack aimed at helping customers adopt AI agent use cases.

Unveiled at Nvidia’s GTC event, the aptly named Nutanix Agentic AI solution integrates with the chip giant’s AI Enterprise at the “agent builder” layer, allowing customers to build and run agentic AI applications across multiuser environments.

Nutanix said it has also enlisted Nvidia to “build the foundation for autonomous agents in the enterprise” by integrating the latter’s recently unveiled Agent Toolkit into the new software solution.

Thomas Cornely, EVP of product management at Nutanix, said the offering will enable infrastructure and platform teams to “simply build, operate, and govern AI factories while providing agentic AI developers with the performance and rich set of models and AI platform services they need.”

“Contrary to AI infrastructure for model training that was optimized to run ‘one big job,’ production agentic AI infrastructure needs to handle scale and high rates of change for thousands of AI services, agents, and concurrent users and developers,” Cornely added.

Included in the software suite are AI platform services and a Kubernetes-native software layer aimed at securing agent connections to enterprise data. The offering also extends its Nutanix Kubernetes Platform to the offering to provide a catalog of pre-built open source AI developer tools to help users build agentic solutions.

There is also extended support for Nutanix Unified Storage, which offers foundational data services for agentic applications. It provides linearly scalable read/write performance for thousands of GPU clients to maximize hardware efficiency across all enterprise AI workloads.

Customers looking to make use of Nutanix’s new Agentic AI solution can use it on Nvidia-certified AI factory solutions on hardware from Cisco, Dell, and Supermicro.
