Nokia appointed Siemens executive Emma Falck as its president of mobile infrastructure. Falck will join the company on September 1, and will also become a member of the Nokia group leadership team.

The appointment comes months after Nokia outlined a change in strategy, which led to the departure of its former mobile networks chief Tommi Uitto.

As part of this strategy, the company merged its core network, radio access network (RAN), and patent portfolios into a new Mobile Infrastructure division. Nokia CEO Justin Hotard has been the interim leader of the division.

Falck currently serves as EVP of products and smart infrastructure buildings at Siemens, leading a global organization across product management, development, and supply chain. Falck has also held senior strategy roles at Siemens and led technology organizations building automation, software, and connected devices.

Falck will be based in Espoo, Finland, and will report to Hotard.
