NetApp, the intelligent data infrastructure company, has announced a new solution that integrates its on-premises enterprise storage arrays with AWS Outposts. This integration allows customers to manage external block data volumes directly through the AWS Management Console, streamlining their hybrid cloud deployments. AWS Outposts provides a fully managed solution that delivers AWS infrastructure and services to various on-premises or edge locations.

With this new solution, customers using Outpost servers or racks can easily attach block data volumes backed by NetApp storage using the AWS Management Console. Key benefits include: NetApp also announced new capabilities for its Spot Ocean infrastructure optimization solution, which assists organizations in scaling Kubernetes operations efficiently while controlling costs. New features include a fast-response auto-scaler, dynamic commitment utilization, and an enhanced dashboard for visibility and insights.
