HPE has added to its networking portfolio with an expanded range of network switches and WiFi access points.
The new products are listed under its HPE Aruba Networking product line.
Wired offerings include the CX 10040 distributed services switch, which utilizes an AMD Pensando data processing unit (DPU), and four CX 6300M campus networking switches.
HPE claims that the CX 10040 “smart switch” can offer double the scale and performance of its previous CX 10000 iteration.
The company said the CX 10040 can offer 8Tbps of non-blocking switching capacity and 1.6Tbps of L4 stateful inspection natively integrated. It also includes a 4.8Tbps encryption engine. The switch delivers both 100G and 400G connectivity.
New wireless offerings include several new WiFi 7 access points: the HPE Aruba Networking 720 Series Campus Access Points (AP), a cost-effective option that offers up to 4.7 Gbps and is suitable for general use; the HPE Aruba Networking 740 Series Campus AP, which offers a higher performance of up to 9 Gbps; and the HPE Aruba Networking 760 Series Outdoor and Industrial AP, which offers 5.8 Gbps is suitable for industrial indoor, outdoor, and hazardous locations.
Phil Mottram, HPE Aruba Networking’s executive vice president, said that the products will “simplify data center and overall server connectivity at ten times the scale and performance and one-third the cost of traditional enterprise solutions.”
Senior vice president of AMD’s Networking Technology and Solutions Group, Soni Jiandani, said that the companies are “enabling secure, scalable services for datacenter and colocation deployments that support the world’s largest enterprises at a fraction of the cost of legacy solutions.”
HPE was recently tapped to build two supercomputers: KISTI-6 for South Korea and Discovery 6 for ExxonMobil. The company announced an agreement to acquire networking firm Juniper Networks in January 2024, but the US Department of Justice has filed a complaint in opposition to the deal.
