Globe Telecom is enhancing its cybersecurity operations through an extended partnership with Vectra AI, aiming to improve security measures for its 80 million customers. The collaboration has resulted in a 99% reduction in alert noise and improved incident response times to 3.5 hours.
By employing Vectra AI's solutions, Globe Telecom has effectively responded to cyber threats across its infrastructure. The integration of Attack Signal Intelligence™ has provided insights that significantly improve security monitoring. This, combined with CrowdStrike's endpoint detection and response (EDR), equips Globe with comprehensive visibility over network operations.
Anton Bonifacio, Chief Information Security and Chief AI Officer at Globe, noted, “With Vectra in place, the light started to turn on. Its automation and filtering capabilities allowed us to focus on the most important threats.” This focused approach has enhanced the team's efficiency in managing cybersecurity risks.
Globe's security team has maintained tighter controls of their environment, enabling proactive identification of threats through improved monitoring of network activities. Aylwin Lam, Regional Director for Vectra AI Asia, remarked, “For security decision makers today, it’s about focusing on what's urgent.” Vectra's managed detection and response (MDR) service adds an extra layer of protection, ensuring continuous support for threat management.
Bonifacio emphasized the importance of the partnership, stating, “They’ve always been a supportive partner, even during challenging times.” Vectra AI continues to provide Globe Telecom with the necessary tools and expertise to maintain reliable services for its customers.
In light of recent findings indicating that 73% of APAC security practitioners suspect undetected compromises due to alert overload, the partnership serves as a model for efficient cybersecurity management.
