Extreme Networks revamped its debt facility, having secured a cool $500 million credit agreement to fuel its expansion efforts.

A Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing dated July 29 reveals JPMorgan Chase Bank provided the networking firm with a five-year revolving loan facility maturing in 2031, of which $200 million will be used to pay off a prior loan from the Bank of Montreal.

The remaining $300 million can be used for “working capital and other general corporate purposes,” providing the networking vendor with plenty of cash to fuel its efforts as it continues to square up against Cisco and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE).

No early termination penalties were incurred on its prior facility.

Extreme finds itself in a strong position, with CEO Ed Meyercord recently touting its ability to secure component demand through its fiscal 2027, a win at a time when supply chain headaches continue to bite.

The vendor found itself among Gartner’s list of key players for the wired and wireless local area network (LAN) space, with the analyst giant lauding its high-density campus focus and expanding AI capabilities within the Extreme Platform One service.
