CrowdStrike plucked a pair of executives from rival SentinelOne to fill newly created leadership positions at the cybersecurity vendor. The two security vendors are competitors in several categories, including endpoint detection and response (EDR), extended detection and response (XDR), and cloud and identity security.

The company appointed Daniel Bernard as its chief business officer and Raj Rajamani as chief product officer of the CrowdStrike's data, identity, cloud, and endpoint (DICE) services.

Bernard is responsible for driving revenue from the CrowdStrike's global channel and partner ecosystem and leading its small and medium business (SMB) go-to-market strategy, including its e-commerce business. Bernard will report to CrowdStrike founder and CEO George Kurtz.

“Doubling down on the channel and bringing CrowdStrike into new markets will drive continued growth,” Bernard said in a statement.

Rajamani is responsible for product strategy, management, and delivery across the vendor's EDR, XDR, cloud and identity security, and data protection services. Rajamani will reports to CrowdStrike’s Chief Product and Engineering Officer Amol Kulkarni.

“CrowdStrike set the bar for the XDR era, and I am incredibly excited to have the opportunity to keep raising it higher – and that’s exactly what we’re going to do,” Rajamani said in a statement.

CrowdStrike claims both have been widely recognized as key architects of SentinelOne’s go-to-market and product strategy.

SentinelOne’s Recent Leadership Changes

Bernard and Rajamani left SentinelOne earlier this month, which followed former SentinelOne President Nicholas Warner moving to an advisory role last month.

“We thank Daniel and Raj for their support in establishing the SentinelOne brand, and for building world-class marketing and product teams, which will seamlessly move us forward as we continue to accelerate beyond the endpoint to deliver a new cybersecurity paradigm and protect our customers worldwide with integrity,” a SentinelOne spokesperson noted in a statement.

SentinelOne CTO Ric Smith has taken over some responsibilities from the chief product officer role, becoming chief product and technology officer. The vendor’s website doesn’t showcase a current chief marketing officer in its leadership team.

CEO Tomer Weingarten announced Warner’s move during the vendor’s most recent earnings call. “On Nick’s succession … about 6 months ago, we have added Vats Srivatsan as our COO, and by now largely we moved a lot of these functions that were under Nick under Vats as well," Weingarten said, according to a transcript of the call.
