London-based investment firm Arcus Infrastructure Partners snapped up Wi-Fi service provider Wifinity.

Founded in 2007, Wifinity designs and manages mission-critical connectivity infrastructure network solutions for complex environments. The U.K.-based vendor helps meet client connectivity needs for multisite and multitenant projects across everything from holiday parks and care homes to military bases.

Arcus deployed its AEIF3 to acquire the firm, a move it claims will help to broaden its exposure to the mid-market value-add digital infrastructure space.

“Wifinity’s proven expertise and scalable platform not only deliver seamless, secure connectivity in complex environments but also create significant opportunities for innovation and long-term growth across various verticals with promising prospects," said Christopher Ehrke, partner and head of digital at Arcus, explained. “We look forward to working closely with the management team as the company enters its next phase of expansion.”

Wifinity has a forecasted growth rate of around 15% per annum between 2025 and 2030.

Wifinity previously enjoyed backing from Literacy Capital and Lloyds Banking Group’s LDC. Having invested in the firm back in September 2021, LDC supported the provider as it doubled revenues and increased its headcount by 46%. Also during that time, the pair supported Wifinity as it made strategic acquisitions of its own: bringing in offshore vessel connectivity firm Vital WiFi and network connectivity provider Next Connex.

Wifinity CEO Costas Demetriou said the Arcus acquisition would help it expand into adjacent markets and invest in its network, technology, and people.

“Over the past 18 years, we have built a market-leading platform focused on delivering highly resilient, bespoke connectivity solutions where connectivity is mission-critical and where deep technical expertise, operational resilience, and long-term partnerships truly matter,” Demetriou added. “Arcus’ investment philosophy, experience in scaling essential digital infrastructure businesses, and track record of supporting management teams, combined with its long-term, value-add approach to investment, make it an ideal partner for the next phase of our development.”

Wifinity joins a handful of providers under the AEIF3 belt, including Polish fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) provider FixMap, and Portus Data Centers, a data center platform in Germany and Luxembourg.

The latest transaction is expected to clear in the first half of the year, subject to regulatory approvals.
