Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE) teamed with Versa to offer integrated security solutions.

The partnership sees more of Versa’s networking and communications solutions offered to ALE customers, including its Secure SD-WAN and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) services.

The integration is designed to complement ALE's LAN and WLAN network access capabilities, providing respective customer bases with improved scalability and advanced management options for deployments across complex environments.

“Versa’s innovative solutions align seamlessly with our commitment to provide high-performance and resilient networks, simplifying network operations and enhancing secure connectivity for enterprises and multisite organizations," Stephan Robineau, EVP of the network business division at ALE, noted in a statement. “This partnership allows us to expand our portfolio and provide secure solutions that adapt to the evolving demands of modern enterprises.”

The team-up is an expansion of an earlier partnership penned in 2021, which saw the pair come together to offer Versa solutions to enhance software-defined networks for enterprise customers.

Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise was recently labeled by Gartner as a “niche player” in the data center switching vendors market, placing it alongside the likes of H3C and Extreme Networks.

The French firm, however, has plans to tap AI to power digital transformation efforts. ALE recently struck a deal with digital technology and customer experience services firm Movate to help develop a generative AI platform designed to support its automation efforts.
