Managed Wi-Fi systems provider Airties is acquiring India-based Aprecomm in a move that Airties notes will accelerate its “geographic expansion.”

Aprecomm’s software suite is designed to support internet service providers (ISPs) in delivering “self-healing networks and improved in-home broadband experiences,” with a specific focus on a product portfolio “purpose-built to address the economic and ARPU [average revenue per user] profiles of ISPs in developing markets.” That service is said to support more than seven million locations.

Airties plans to link this angle with its already established product lines targeted at “tier-one” operators across their fiber, cable/digital subscriber line (DSL), and fixed-wireless access (FWA) deployments. The Paris-based firm touts operators like AT&T, Deutsche Telekom, and T-Mobile US among its customer base.

That platform differentiation will be maintained with Airties noting the deal will bring “complementary go-to-market capabilities for ISPs across the globe, and Aprecomm set to continuing operating as a subsidiary of Airties serving “its customers and the markets in which it operates.”

“Aprecomm is very well positioned in growth markets like India and Southeast Asia, so we now have an unmatched foundation to accelerate our expansion further across Asia-Pacific and into South America, two markets where demand for intelligent connectivity is growing at extraordinary speed,” Airties CEO Metin Taskin noted in a statement. “In addition, the acquisition is aligned with our vision of helping ISPs move to agentic AI platforms for the connected home, where the network autonomously anticipates, adapts and acts to provide the best broadband connectivity experience, lower churn and unlock new revenue for ISPs.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, with closing expected by the end of the year.

Airties recently hired former Nokia executive Deepak Harie as its chief revenue officer (CRO). Harie spent almost 25 years at Nokia across a range of leadership roles, most recently as SVP of technical support and deploy services, and in the new role is leading Airties global sales and business development efforts, reporting directly to Taskin.
