Managed Wi-Fi software solutions provider Airties appointed long-time Nokia executive Deepak Harie as its chief revenue officer (CRO).
Harie spent almost 25 years at Nokia across a range of leadership roles, most recently as SVP of technical support and deploy services. He originally joined Nokia Siemens Networks, a joint venture between Nokia and Siemens, back in 2003. Nokia would go on to acquire full ownership of the venture in 2013, rebranding the subsidiary as Nokia Networks.
In his Airties role, Harie will lead the firm’s global sales and business development efforts, reporting directly to CEO and founder Metin Taskin.
“[Harie] is highly regarded across our industry for his proven record of accomplishments, technical knowledge, adept leadership skills, and customer-centric ethos,” Taskin said. “Our mission is to enable broadband service providers to deliver smooth, smart, secure connectivity, and I am confident that Deepak will help us deliver on that commitment.”
Founded in 2004, the Paris-headquartered firm provides software solutions to boost connectivity for internet service providers (ISPs). Its Home, Pro, and Multi offerings direct user devices to the best access point and band, ensuring ISPs can better manage customer networks.
The likes of AT&T, Deutsche Telekom, and T-Mobile US count among Airties’ customer base.
“ISPs rely on Airties’ AI-driven software for the ongoing optimization of their customers’ broadband experience, to improve performance, reduce churn, lower costs, and market effectively, and I am thrilled to be part of the Airties journey,” Harie said upon appointment.
