Aeris teamed up with a managed network infrastructure provider Telna to expand connectivity for IoT and physical AI deployments.
The partnership sees Aeris’ IoT Accelerator (IoTA) platform and Watchtower security suite integrated with Telna’s core network in a bid to cut connectivity fragmentation during deployments.
Their initial work will kickstart in Brazil, a nation that restricts permanent roaming and instead forces enterprises to either negotiate separate local agreements or run parallel connectivity stacks. The joint partnership will provide zero-touch eSIM provisioning, meaning users can connect devices in market without SIM swaps or country-by-country onboarding.
Aeris customers can now reach Brazilian markets via Telna’s local international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) profiles, a move the pair tout would allow customers to better gain a foothold in the country’s key sectors such as agribusiness, industrial IoT, and automotive.
“Multinational enterprises shouldn’t have to rebuild their IoT program every time they enter a new country,” Aeris Chief Commercial Officer Mark Cratsenberg explained. “Welcoming Telna to the IoT Accelerator community gives our customers compliant, low-latency access to Brazil through the same platform and security they already use worldwide. It’s another step toward truly borderless connectivity for physical AI and intelligent, mission-critical IoT.”
“Together with Aeris, we give enterprises and OEMs a single, secure path to scale in one of the world's most dynamic IoT markets. Brazil is where we start, but it is not where we stop," Telna CEO Gregory Gundelfinger added. "Telna will keep bringing new local profiles onto IoT Accelerator so their customers can expand into restricted markets as fast as their business demands and operate there for the full life of the device."
