During its investor event this week, CEO Rajiv Ramaswami for the first time said Nutanix expects to be cash-flow positive by the second half of calendar 2022.
“We can’t just spend all that money on detection and assume we’re gonna catch everything, because the math no longer works,” Illumio CEO Andrew Rubin said.

Both projects focus on open source software as federal agencies work on software-related standards and guidelines called for in President Biden’s recent cybersecurity executive order.

A handful of technologies support zero trust, and Trend Micro’s builds on its XDR platform, which collects telemetry across email, clouds, networks, and SaaS applications.
Successfully disrupting ransomware campaigns and infrastructure will require “a step beyond” the traditional public-private partnership, Talos’ Matt Olney said.

For comparison: Palo Alto Networks, the largest network security vendor by revenue, grew its revenue to $3.8 billion in 2020, while No. 2 Cisco scored $3.5 billion.
XDR is “something that we can do really, really uniquely to stop these very sophisticated attacks,” said VMware SVP Tom Gillis ahead of the company’s Security Connect event.
HPE’s edge-as-a-service products grew triple digits year over year and represent “a meaningful contributor to HPE's overall ARR,” CEO Antonio Neri said.
