Radcom RestructuresRadcom recently lost a pair of C-level executives and announced a restructuring of its sales organization.
The company’s CFO Ran Vered, who started at Radcom in 2016, left the company to pursue other opportunities. Amir Hai was hired to replace Vered. Hai most recently served as the CFO of Smart Medical Systems and has held that role at a number of other multinational companies.
Radcom Chief Business Officer Harel Givon also left, which triggered a sales reorganization. According to the release announcing the restructuring, the company felt that in order to adapt to the evolving NFV market it would be better served by a regional sales model. Radcom CEO Yaron Ravkaie will supervise the new regional sales organization.
TIP Shakes Up LeadershipThe Telecom Infra Project (TIP), a consortium of companies working on telco hardware and software, named Attilio Zani as its new executive director. He worked at trade organization GSMA for 12 years, holding a number of positions including senior director.
Zani replaced Leland Lai who had served as TIP's executive director since last year. According to his LinkedIn profile, Lai is also a venture partner at Yushan Ventures and a strategic advisor to Brinc.io.
Extreme Networks Loses CFOExtreme Networks CFO Drew Davies left the company to pursue an executive finance position outside of the networking industry. Matt Cleaver, who is currently VP of finance, will act as the interim CFO. Cleaver has worked at Extreme since 2012, starting as the senior director of financial planning and moving to his current role as the VP of financial planning and analysis.
Extreme is in the process of recruiting a new CFO. President and CEO Ed Meyercord said it is looking for a “seasoned CFO with significant technology experience.”
Movers and ShakersGoogle Cloud hired Andrew Moore to head up its artificial intelligence (AI) group. Moore will replace Fei-Fei-Li, who is returning to Stanford as a professor but will remain as an advisor to the AI group.
Karthik Subramanian, former head of Cisco’s security acquisitions and investments, joined Evolution Equity Partners as a partner. He will lead investments in security, enterprise software, IoT, cloud, and analytics.
Chris Betz joined CenturyLink as its chief security officer. Betz came from Apple where he led security for its products.
CenturyLink EVP and CFO Sunit Patel resigned. Neel Dev, who is group VP of finance, will serve as the interim CFO. Patel joined T-Mobile U.S. as an EVP of its merger and integration activities.
Clay Bailey was promoted to SVP of public policy and government affairs at CenturyLink. Bailey replaces John Jones.
Verizon offered an early retirement program to thousands of its employees in an attempt to cut costs and trim its workforce.
Micro Focus named Jon Hunter its chief revenue officer.
LogicMonitor hired Mark Banfield as its chief revenue officer and Mark Kelly as SVP of customer experience.
Vonage named Rishi Dave as its chief marketing officer.
James Parker replaced Chris MacFarland as CEO of Masergy. MacFarland will remain at the company as its executive chairman and CTO.
SlashNext named Dave Stevens as its executive chairman. Stevens is co-founder and ex-CEO at Palo Alto Networks.
Wind River formed a board of directors: Moshe Gavrielov was named executive chairman; Mark Fields was named board advisor; and Afshin Mohebbi, Nehal Raj, and Art Heldrich joined as members.
Splunk appointed Jake Loomis as its SVP and chief digital officer.
Accedian named Kaela Loffler as its VP of marketing.
Spirent hired Gerhard Auer as VP of sales and services.
Verizon hired Chris Bartlett as SVP for corporate development and Verizon Ventures.
Windstream hired 450 field technicians over the past year.
Lattice Semiconductor named Esam Elashmawi as its chief marketing and strategy officer.
Cloudera hired Scott Aronson as its SVP of worldwide sales and services.
Vectra appointed Jennifer Wang as VP of customer success and Aaron Bean as VP of human resources.
Mark Bole was named CEO at Quortus.
Ex-Vericlave CEO Nancy Shemwell was named COO of The IoT Community. She will also serve on its advisory board.
Ola Sergatchov, an ex-IBM executive, joined security company GuardiCore as its VP of corporate strategy.
Former Synnex CEO and President Kevin Murai joined Red Hat’s board of directors.
Analytics company Pepperdata appointed Charles Marker as VP of engineering and Dan Marx as VP of sales. Both will report to CEO Ash Munshi.
Ian McShane, formerly Gartner’s lead analyst in endpoint protection, joined endpoint security firm Endgame as VP of product marketing.
DFLabs named Tito Avila as its VP of global sales and business development.
SD-WAN provider CloudGenix promoted Joel Christner to VP of marketing.
Software company 3Pillar Global hired Peter Buer as its chief of people and operations.
Container security company StackRox named Kamal Shah as president and CEO.
Software-defined storage (SDS) company Veritas appointed John Abel as its CIO.
Hybrid cloud platform vendor CloudBolt appointed Paul Strelzick as chairman of its board of directors. Strelzick was formerly the president of worldwide sales at SolarWinds.
Software provider Freshworks hired former WebEx executive David Thompson as chief marketing officer.
Data platform company Looker hired former Reddit VP of engineering Nick Caldwell as its chief product officer.
Cloud data warehouse company Snowflake Computing named Kathy O’Driscoll as its VP of people.
Hyperconverged Kubernetes platform provider Robin Systems hired Radhesh Menon as its chief marketing officer.
Lumina Networks added three executives to its engineering team: Avinash Parwaney was named VP of engineering; Prem Sankar Gopannan was named director of engineering; and Iyappa Swaminathan was named director of technical product management.
Nokia will slash 500 jobs by year-end.
Former Cisco SVP David Ulevitch joined venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz.
Thomas Kurian resigned as president of Oracle’s product development less than a month after he said he would take “extended time off.”
