Nearly $200 million has been raised by a trio of security firms this week and it’s only Tuesday. Auth0, a company that provides secure identity management for 7,000 customers worldwide, kicked the week off with a $103 million Series E funding round that values the firm at more than $1 billion.

The latest round, which was led by Sapphire Ventures, brings the company’s total funding to more than $210 million. Other existing investors — Bessemer Venture Partners, K9 Ventures, Trinity Ventures, Meritech Capital, and World Innovation Lab — also participated in the round.

Auth0 provides identity management for web, mobile, IoT, and internal applications to enterprises in multiple sectors. The security firm, which is headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, says it secures more than 2.5 billion logins per month. Its workforce has grown nearly 200% in the last two years to 475 employees.

“Businesses cannot afford a data breach, and this investment is a key indicator that identity management is an industry worth investing in,” Auth0 co-founder and CEO Eugenio Pace, said in a statement. The company serves customers in more than 70 countries and also has offices in London, Tokyo, Sydney, and Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Guardicore Raises $60M

Guardicore, a company that provides mid- to large-sized enterprises with security for data centers and cloud infrastructure, raised $60 million in a Series C funding round that brings its total funding to $110 million. The latest round was led by new investor Qumra Capital and joined by other new investors Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners, Partech, ClalTech, and Access Industries. Previous investors Battery Ventures, 83North, TPG Growth, and Greenfield Partners also participated in the round.

Guardicore, which has offices in San Francisco, Boston, and Tel Aviv, Israel, says it will use the new capital to invest further in sales, marketing, and customer service in a bid to expand the reach of its Centra security platform in financial, healthcare, and retail industries. “Any organization has critical IT assets that need to be secured,” Guardicore co-founder and CEO Pavel Gurvich said in a statement. “The days of being chained to legacy firewalls are over.”

Siemplify Raises $30M

Siemplify, a security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) provider, raised $30 million in a Series C funding round that brings its total funding to $58 million. The new round was led by Georgian Partners with participation from 83North, G20 Ventures, and Jump Capital.

The company, which was founded by Israeli intelligence officers in 2015, says it grew 280% during 2018 and experienced 250% growth in annual recurring revenue during the first quarter of 2019. Siemplify has large enterprise customers in logistics, media and entertainment, banking, and technology distribution. The security firm also says it serves 24% of the companies featured in the 2018 Gartner Magic Quadrant for managed security services worldwide.

The company is headquartered in New York and has offices in Tel Aviv, Israel.

CrowdStrike Plans IPO

The heightened investment activity comes as CrowdStrike prepares to go public. The security firm, which was founded in 2011, was valued at $ billion after a $200 million Series E funding round in June 2018. CrowdStrike’s revenue grew 110% year-over-year to $249.8 million in fiscal 2019, but its net losses also grew to $140.1 million during the same period.

Venture capital funding hit a record $5.3 billion in 2018. Some firms are simply propping up previous investments, but fatigue is also setting in for some who want to see more of these companies prove their mettle in the public markets.
