The subsidiary company offers a network platform-as-a-service (NPaaS) that enables enterprises to do without private circuits and build their own WAN so they can optimize application delivery of cloud and Internet of Things (IoT) services.
Using application programming interfaces (APIs), web consoles, and DevOps tools like Jenkins and Ansible, enterprises can deploy and manage software-defined networks (SDN) in the same way they deploy virtual machines (VMs).
Deploying NetFoundry networks is similar to deploying microservices in that developers can integrate NetFoundry networks on a per application or data flow basis, the company claims.
NetFoundry also announced a partnership with VeloCloud where NetFoundry customers are able to connect branch offices to its platform with VeloCloud’s software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN) technology.
NetFoundry also uses Dispersive Technologies’ overlay network as its core networking infrastructure for security and Sonus Networks’ virtual network function (VNF) function for session border control.
