Verizon Enterprise Solutions hired former EMC veteran Vic Bhagat to be its chief information officer (CIO).
In his new role, Bhagat and his team will be charged with streamlining Verizon’s enterprise business and making it more efficient. Verizon’s goal is to optimize processes across the organization and provide better service to its customers.
With 30 years of experience in this field, Bhagat most recently served as the executive vice president and CIO for EMC, a cloud computing company, where he led that company’s IT transformation. He also oversaw EMC’s technology services and support.
Before joining EMC, Bhagat worked with General Electric (GE) for more than 20 years as a CIO for a number of organizations, including GE Aviation Services, GE Global Growth and Operations, CNBC, GE Corporate, and GE India and Southeast Asia.
