Cumulus Networks hired Ami Badani as vice president of marketing and Ron DiBiase as vice president of sales. Cumulus says the hires are necessary to support its rapid growth.
The company claims its customer base has more than doubled over the past year. Through its partner ecosystem it offers support for Cumulus Linux on more than 50 hardware platforms from Dell, HPE, Edge-Core, Agema, Penguin Computing, Supermicro, Quanta and Mellanox.
DiBiase joins from Aruba Networks, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company, where he was the vice president of global software sales.
These executive additions follow Cumulus Networks’ recent broadening of the leadership team over the past year: James McNicholas was hired as chief financial officer and Sandy Palicio was hired as vice president of human resources.
SDxCentral caught up with Cumulus’s CTO JR Rivers at the OpenStack Summit in May.
Earlier in the year, Mellanox Technologies said it was offering its newest line of Ethernet switches with the Cumulus Linux operating system running on top.
