Brocade announced the changes today in a blog entry by Kelly Herrell, senior vice president of software networking — and the former CEO of Vyatta.
Vyatta had the most cachet among the acquired companies, and the name had become Brocade’s shorthand for many elements of virtualized routing and software-defined networking (SDN). The startup had originally developed an open source router for enthusiasts; Brocade acquired it in 2012.
Here’s the rundown of the new Brocade product names.
