Arista might be getting some strife about importing products to the United States, but at least it’s got a ready customer in the U.S. government.
Arista announced today that its 7150, 7050, 7250, 7300, and 7500 lines of switches are now included on the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Unified Capabilities Approved Products List. This means that DoD customers are now able to use Arista gear and the Extensible Operating System (EOS).
DoD agencies will use Arista switches to scale their cloud networks as they transition to next-generation software. Arista platforms will help government agencies cut costs, simplify network infrastructure, standardize protocols, and automate IT processes.
Last month, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency revoked its own November finding that allowed Arista’s redesigned products to be imported in the U.S., which covers all Arista products.
