ANAFLASH has acquired Legato Logic to enhance its development of non-volatile compute-in-memory technology, focusing on battery-powered intelligent sensors. This strategic acquisition aims to integrate Legato’s expertise into ANAFLASH's offerings.

Peter Song, CEO and co-founder of ANAFLASH, stated, “We see great opportunities in the standard logic-compatible smart sensing technologies that the combined company will develop together. By integrating Legato’s technology and expertise, we will pursue a shared vision: delivering enhanced performance and efficiency for our customers, making sensor products smarter with substantially lower power consumption.”

The acquisition positions ANAFLASH, a Berkeley SkyDeck Fund portfolio company since 2019, to benefit from Legato Logic, which joined the program in 2021. Chon Tang, a founding partner at the fund, remarked on the distinction the merged entity holds in the compute-in-memory sector.

Shahrzad Naraghi, Legato Logic's CEO, will transition to the role of Chief Technology Officer at ANAFLASH. Dr. Naraghi noted, “Merging with ANAFLASH marks an exciting new chapter for Legato Logic. Together with ANAFLASH's brilliant team, we are poised to accelerate our go-to market and commercialization efforts.”

ANAFLASH has recently obtained a U.S. patent for its serialized neural network techniques and plans to showcase its latest AI microcontroller at the Edge AI Research Symposium 2025 in Austin, Texas, on Feb 26, 2025.
