Telehealth: A Mission-Critical Use Case
Enabling a mission-critical platform that brings the best of cloud-technology and mobility together is table stakes to enabling life-saving applications such as TeleHealth. During this session, industry experts will discuss how, through close collaboration with Dell EMC’s Cork Innovation Lab, Telenor, VMware and Dell EMC were able to jointly showcase how cloud-generation mobility 5G platforms can impact life through low latency, resilient and media-rich emergency services applications.
- Pål Grøsund, Senior Research Scientist, Telenor
- Donagh Buckley, Senior Director and CTO, Dell EMC’s Center for Excellence
- Vanessa Little, Director of Global NFV Ecosystem Architecture, VMware
Findings From a Service Provider Survey
During this session, ACG Research’s Chris Nicoll will share some key insights from the 5G, Edge and IoT infrastructure survey that was conducted with the leading mobile network operators. Key insights from the findings will be discussed and analyzed, including on evolving infrastructure purchasing behavior, the move to cloud-like infrastructures spanning edge-core-cloud as well as workload acceleration, management, orchestration and automation.
- Chris Nicoll, Principal Analyst, Wireless and Mobility, ACG Research
- Mehdi Sif, Executive Consultant, Cloud & Communications Service Providers GTM, Dell EMC
Data Management and Analytics
To illustrate the key importance of analytics in a service provider environment, we use the example of O2’s network customer experience (NCX) program. It is a model created on basis of analytics drawn from hundreds of network measures to measure as well as predict customer’s satisfaction score. This has transformed individual network experiences into meaningful and actionable insights and has empowered the network teams to become most customer centric and services oriented.
Cardinality and Dell EMC have the technology to provide the operational intelligence based on real time analytics by correlating, storing and analyzing data from diverse sources within the service provider network – with focus on performance and scale.
- Anton Prenneis, Senior Consulting Product Manager, Service Provider Analytics, Dell EMC
- Prashant Kumar, CTO and Co-founder, Cardinality
- Brendan O’Reilly, CTO, O2 (Telefónica UK)
